Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the ZEBOX iOS application and the website at zebox.ai (together, the “Services”), operated by ZEBOX (“we,” “us,” or “our”). By using the Services, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.

1. The service

ZEBOX is a collection tool that uses your device camera to recognize physical trading cards, identify variants, and organize them into a personal index with market price snapshots. Recognition results, variant matches, and prices are estimates provided for convenience — they are not certifications, gradings, appraisals, or guarantees of authenticity or value.

2. Eligibility and accounts

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Services. If you create an account, you are responsible for maintaining the security of your credentials and for all activity under your account. You agree to provide accurate information and to notify us promptly of any unauthorized use.

3. License

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the app on Apple-branded devices you own or control, in accordance with these Terms and Apple’s App Store terms. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, reverse engineer, or create derivative works of the Services except as permitted by law.

4. Your content

You retain ownership of the images you capture and the collection data you create. You grant us a limited license to store and process that content solely to provide the Services — for example, to run recognition, sync your collection, and display it back to you. We do not use your content for advertising.

5. Subscriptions and purchases

Some features may require a paid subscription. Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period; manage or cancel them in your App Store account settings. Except where required by law, purchases are non-refundable — refund requests are handled by Apple.

6. Market data disclaimer

Price snapshots are sourced from third-party market data providers and may be delayed, incomplete, or inaccurate. They do not constitute financial, investment, or purchasing advice. Trading card values fluctuate, and you are solely responsible for any decisions you make based on information shown in the Services.

7. Intellectual property

The Services — including the ZEBOX name, mark, design, and software — are owned by us and protected by intellectual property laws. Trading card names, artwork, and related trademarks belong to their respective owners. ZEBOX is an independent product and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by The Pokémon Company, Nintendo, Creatures Inc., Game Freak, or any card publisher or marketplace.

8. Acceptable use

• Do not use the Services for any unlawful purpose.
• Do not interfere with, disrupt, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Services or their infrastructure.
• Do not scrape, harvest, or bulk-export catalog or pricing data from the Services.
• Do not misrepresent recognition results as certifications of authenticity or grade.

9. Termination

You may stop using the Services and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or if we discontinue the Services. Sections 6, 7, 10, and 11 survive termination.

10. Disclaimers

THE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT RECOGNITION RESULTS OR PRICE DATA WILL BE ACCURATE OR THAT THE SERVICES WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE.

11. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICES. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF $50 OR THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM AROSE.

12. Changes to the terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify you in the app. Your continued use of the Services after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Colorado, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Denver, Colorado.
